Hey Bride to be...
First of all, congratulations! You're engaged, and that’s AMAZING! 💍✨
This is such a special time, and while wedding planning can feel a bit overwhelming, don’t worry—I’ve got you! As someone who got engaged in October 2023 and just got married four months ago, I completely understand what you're feeling. This journey is exciting, emotional, and sometimes a little crazy, but trust me, it’s all worth it! Here are my best tips to help you stay organized, stress-free, and most importantly, enjoy every moment of this exciting chapter

1- Take a Deep Breath and Soak It All In
Before you dive headfirst into planning, take a moment to just be. Celebrate with your fiancé, have a toast with your best friends, and let yourself feel all the happiness. This is your time—enjoy it!
2. Set Your Priorities First
What’s most important to you and your partner? Is it a breathtaking venue? Emotional, timeless photography? An epic dance floor? Knowing your must-haves will help you focus your budget and energy where it matters most. And speaking of budgets…

3. Define Your Budget (and Stick to It!)
Don't let external opinions dictate your wedding decisions. This is your day, and only you and your fiancé should decide how to allocate your budget. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, so make choices that feel right for you and your fiancé.
4. Expect Some No-Shows
Statistically, a percentage of your invited guests won’t be able to attend, and even a portion of those who RSVP “yes” may not show up. It’s completely normal! So don’t stress if you invite a few extra people—you’ll be just fine.
Statistically, about 17% of invited guests decline wedding invitations, meaning approximately 83% accept. rsvpify.com

5. Make a PDF for Your Vendors
This was a game-changer for me! Create a simple PDF with key details, schedules, and preferences so all your vendors are on the same page. It keeps everything organized and prevents miscommunication on your big day. Basically, bring your Pinterest board to a clear pdf for your main vendors.
6. Create a Shot List for Your Photographer
Make a list of must-have shots and special people you need in your wedding photos. Trust me, in the whirlwind of the day, it’s easy to forget for you! A simple note to your photographer about VIP family members or sentimental moments will ensure nothing gets missed.
7. Choose Vendors Who Feel Like Friends
Your wedding vendors will be with you every step of the way, so find people you genuinely vibe with! As a wedding photographer in NYC, I love building real connections with my couples so they feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. Your team should make you feel excited, not stressed!

8. Trust Your Gut (Not Just Pinterest)
Inspiration is great, but don’t feel pressured to follow every trend. This is your wedding—make choices that feel right for you! Go for details that truly reflect your love story and what makes you both happy. Timeless, candid moments will always be in style.
9. If You’re Debating Hiring a Videographer—DO IT!
Photos are always a priority when planning a wedding, but if you're on the fence about hiring a videographer, let me tell you from experience: DO IT! Watching your wedding video is like reliving the day in the most incredible way. Seeing your vows, your first dance, and hearing the laughter again—there's nothing like it. I understand that photography and videography are investments, but they are the only things that will let you relive your wedding over and over.
And please, please—think twice before having a “friend of a friend” or a family member take your wedding photos for free. I hear this all the time, and unfortunately, it rarely turns out well. You deserve to have someone you trust capturing your big day, so you can have the most incredible memories to look back on.
10. Enjoy Every Single Moment
Your wedding day will go by so fast, so take time to be present. Hold your partner’s hand, take deep breaths, and really feel every hug, every laugh, and every tear of joy. This was the most magical day of my life, and I would relive it a thousand times if I could.
The only way to keep those moments forever? Your photos and videos. 💛
Your wedding should feel like you, and I’d love to help capture every real, beautiful, joy-filled moment along the way. If you're looking for a photographer who truly cares about telling your story, let's chat! I can’t wait to hear all about your vision. 😊📸
